View Full Version : meta data problem with comment tag

I just ripped a CD to FLAC and what I entered into the comment field was not written to the comment field but instead was written to a <DESCRIPTION> field.
Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

I believe that the official Vorbis comment standard is to use DESCRIPTION not "Comment". What program are you using to read the metadata?

Description is correct for Ogg vorbis and FLAC.

To clarify: it is correct when you are using Vorbis comments as the meta-data for these formats

That's what foobar2000 showed me.
I thought foobar2000 handled FLAC tags 100%..?!?!
