I just updated to version 12 (from 11?)
The menu/screen on editing the tag of an MP3 looks different. I like that the screen is bigger, but are there less options on this newest version?
(have XP Home SP2)

Which options are missing?

If you are looking for channels, frequency, or options such as "Original", "Force ISO Compatability", click the "Advanced" button.

Not really sure, but the new screen looks bare.
I first noticed it when I went to make some tag edits to some podcasts and the "Album" field was missing. But now I wondering if that was just how the creator of that podcast created it.

Oh, you mean that. You add the fields you want with the "Add" button, type their name and then the field data. There are no longer "default" entries.

Can I add Title/Subject/Genre/Album as a default to all MP3's or is this only on the MP3 that I have right clicked?
Also, it seems I have to tap the "OK" button, in previous versions I could simply tap the Enter key on my keyboard.
If I want to revert back to 11.5 version, what is the best way.
Other then it being Vista compatible (I have XP Home SP2), should I have stayed with v11.5?
Thx for all the assist

I don't think you can add some tags in as defaults, no.
I think the "OK" issue is so you can make multi-line entries, such as for comments.
As for staying with r11.5, r12 has LAME 3.97, an update from r11.5's LAME 3.96.1, along with a better CD ripper and other enchancements.

You press enter to stop editing an item, a further enter should click ok.

I think I prefer 11.5.
Do I uninstall 12.00 then install 11.5?
Will I loose any registration information?
Thx

If you feel like staying with r11.5, you need to uninstall dMC r12 and all codecs, then reinstall r11.5 and the legacy codecs. Reboot and then delete the entire dBpoweramp install folder. Your registration information may or may not stay, but I assume that it will not. If it does not, do the Registered link retrieval described here: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/announcement.php?f=10&announcementid=8
Note that this will only work if your purchase was over two weeks ago. If it was not, follow the instructions about a manual link described in the bottom of the e-mail.

OK,
So then do not uninstall v12, delete c:Program files/Illustrate/DbPower AMP,
Then reinstall v 11.5.
I am guessing that if I delete that folder I may erase my registration info/
number.

No, you do need to uninstall dMC r12.

I'm having the same problem as sethm ...
The tag in v11.5 had default artist, track, genre, year, etc which I could fill in bulk (great!). In v12 it's "virginal" and you have to create the field name as well as field contents (not great for the volume of stuff I'm doing).
My additional problem is that went from 60 day trial of v11.5 and then jumped to 12 upon purchase and just discovered this, so I can't revert back to paid 11.5 as sethm did.
Any ideas? Can I get an purchased version of 11.5 instead if I can't set these tag field globally in v12?
Thanks!
