    Corrupt ID Tags

I have a weird problem...when i change just one thing in the ID TAG they become corrupt like showing YcP YbP characters. The only way to fix it is to convert the song over again. Any suggestions????

What version? 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, or 2.4? Do you know?

In dBpoweramp configuration you need to switch on the Unicode for mp3 tag handling (just a guess).

Under "MP3 ID Tag Handling" the two options we want you to look at are: ID3v2 Version and ID3v2 Text Encoding. Tell us what the version number is set to and make sure the Text Encoding is set to Unicode-16.

v10 is very old and not unicode aware or compatible.

You will probably need to upgrade to dMC r12, but your tags may actually be corrupt.

You will probably need to type in the correct tags and then they should be kept. The wrong tags aren't fixed as they are corrupted, so they need to be replaced.

If you mp3 id3v2 tags were not unicode and they were saved in the local code page of your machine (for example if you machine was set to Korean), then is wrong and not allowed in id3v2, hence only the computer which created the tags could see them correctly.

Yea i gave up on it...i tried every different setting i'm just going to reencode all my music all over again. Can it handle 3000 songs in one single encode or should i do like a 100 at time?
