Is R12 going to be a free upgrade for owners of an R11 license? I'm a little confused because the information in the Tech Preview thread seems a little inconclusive concerning registration and the different versions.

The PowerPack version of dMC r12 is free for anyone that has purchased the PowerPack at any time. dBpowerAMP Reference is not free and is an additional cost for each major version.

Okay, thank you for clearing that up. So far I have no idea what the differences are between R12 and R12Ref, but I assume they'll be listed on dbpoweramp.com once the site's updated for R12.

I recently purchased version 11.5. Will there be an upgrade path to version 12 reference aside from buying the full version?
Thanks.

I believe a comparison list of features will be coming when the website is updated to r12. In general, though, Reference gives you ultra secure ripping, multi-core support for ripping and encoding, and a few "professional" codecs, along with other things.

Yes
I take it from your short answer, that you are still determining the upgrade fee structure for the reference version.
Hope it's posted soon. I've got lots of discs to rip.

Hope it's posted soon.
Hope it's not too high. Now, that my trial of the reference version is used up, I have to wait until it is released...
