no mp3 convert with variable bitrate

hi everyone!

i´m trying to convert some mp3 files with constant bitrate, to variable bitrate, but lame isn´t allowing me, in the conversion screen, i´ve ticked the variable bitrate, clicking in ok after, but in the other screen, that appears before the conversion), the bitrate option chosen is constant yet. someone can help me?

Are you saying you chose a preset? If you did, the other screen is irrelevant.

yeah! i choose the preset to convert the file with variable bitrate, but the other screen still shows me the constant bitrate. i´ve used dbpower before and i´ve had no trouble about it...

When you say "other screen" you are referring to the main conversion screen with the sliders and everything, right? This has no effect on the file that is output when you select a preset.

yes.. the other screen i´m referring is the main conversion screen, with the sliders, in that screen, the option chosen is "constant bitrate" even if i choose "variable bitrate" in the advanced options. and i wanna know how to fix it....

You have to choose "No Preset" to customize the settings.

sorry but i haven´t seen the option with those presets, i always keep no preset chosen, i tick the "variable bitrate" but in the main conversion screen, keep on appearing constant bitrate. do i have to download another codec or something? and sorry again! :D

reading in another thread, i realize that dbpoweramp, doesn´t work correctly with windowblinds skins applied to it, so all i got to do, me and all those who´s facing the same bug is to inactive the skin modification in dbpoweramp, selecting this option by configuring your windowblinds. hugs to everyone!
