View Full Version : VQF (TwinVQ) Pluggin - Loud *BZZZZT* noise at start of audio files

HI again....
Just one small problem before I can start converting my files... When I either play (using the dbpowerAMP player) or convert a VQF file (using, obviously, the converter) there is loud bzzzzt noise at the start of each track. This bzzzt noise is encoded into the OGG file and as a result, rather annoying if listening to a whole CD....
Any ideas what could be causing this?

The later yamaha encoded files contain extra info that my Twin decoder does not like. The only way to get rid of it (that I know) is to use a DSP Effect 'Trim', possible when the power pack is installed.

Hi Spoon,
I could be wrong, but it appears to go BZZT over the first half second of the song....
Is there any chance you will be updating your vqf plugin anytime soon? If need be I can send you a vqf file to work on to sus out this additional file info? I would be extremely grateful if you could justify assigning some time to a fix, I'm sure I am not the only one with this problem...

If WinAMP will convert to WAV without clicking, why not just create a playlist of all your files, and then extract them to WAV.
Afterwards, then convert the WAV's to OGG Vorbis using dMC... ya?
