Why is it so slow [Archive]

I used to use an older version and it wizzed through converting files in seconds.
Then i downloaded the latest version and my world ground to a halt.
It used to convert an album from MP3 to WAV in about 2 inutes, now it takes 20.
What's going on?

Can I get the old version back?

You might have volume normalize on, or a DSP effect if the Power Pack is installed.

Thanks for the tip, but I can't find out how to see if I have volume normalize on.
Can you please advise?

Convert To >> Wave

it is on that page just below the output to folder
