Hi All

I am new user of dbpowerAMP Media converter. It is wonderful tool and working finne except for real media files.

I have downloaded real media and directshow codecs. It is working fine in converting .rm to mp3 but it is totally failed in converting .ra files into mp3. I have .ra files on hard disk and real alternative installed.

Please guide me how to convert .ra into .mp3?????

Yes I have followed the abovesaid instruction

No problem in rm to mp3 conversion.
but in ra to mpe conversion.

I was able to select the ra files in select files dialog, after it closes in one second and creates a mp3 which consists of nothing.

e.g. a ra file abc.ra of size 300 kb is converting into abc.mp3 of size 2 kb, which consists of nothing. I have tried the both lame and blade mp3 encoder, but the problem is not solved.

Suggest some remedy

Your .ra file might have an odd refresh rate. Try setting the Sample Rate to [as source] instead of 44100Hz.

I've had problems with sampling rate. If you can't get anywhere, try converting to WAV (works for me sometimes.)

If all else fails, Auxiliary Input it. ;-)

If the .ra file was made for multiple audiences, I don't think you can convert it using DirectShow. It may require the older Real Media codec (which works in real time), and Real Player to be installed whereas Real Alterantive will need to be uninstalled.

Only Real Player can tell you the details of that file.

But that may not work either in which case you will have to use dMC Auxiliary Input.

The file may also be protected somehow.

Real Player can burn the file to audio cd and then you can rip it normally.

Dear Mr. Lt. Data

I have tried as u have said and set both channel and sampling rate to source, but fail to achieve the result. I have tried easy rm to mp3 converter, and with that i am able to get mp3 that are playble in media player but not in winamp 5.
Please tell me how to tweak DMC to get the desired result
