i want to setup dbpa with LAME.EXE, and i followed the generic cli help instructions (dBpowerAMP/Help/Codec/Generic%20CLI/help.htm). It has an example using LAME. It says that to pass the params call LAME with:
[InFile] [OutFile] --r3mix --ta "[IDArtist]" --tt "[IDTrack]" --tl "[IDAlbum]" --tg "[IDGenre]" --ty "[IDYear]" --tc "[IDComment]" --tn "[IDTrackNumber]"
but when i try yo rip, i allways get the tags as empty strings.
"C:\Encoders\lame.exe" C:\~dmcin.wav C:\~dmcout.mp3 --r3mix --ta "" --tt "" --tl "" --tg "" --ty "" --tc "" --tn ""
has the tags ([IDArtist], etc) changed? I'm using 11.5. Could it be that i'm using the normal/unregistered version?

Why not get the LAME.exe codec that is more directly setup to sue the LAME.exe ?

What do you have in dMC Configuration for ID tags?
And are you getting the corresponding fields populated from the freedb database at all when starting dMC Audio CD Input?

The program dMC Configuration defines the types of ID tags. There are various options there.

dBpowerAMP will write the ID Tags for an mp3 file, so you can leave that blank for the CLI.

Well, according to Spoon you can leave the CLI fields empty for ID tags, they will get written in any case (or so I understand).
Did you check what you get after the conversion?
ANd BTW, you shoudl enable the right click convert, pop-up info and all that you can enable in dMC Configuration, it will be easier to figure out what your files end up being like.
