Converting FLAC files to MP3 and Publisher field is lost.

I just finished ripping my CD collection to FLAC files for archiving (filling in as much detail as I could along the way while tagging the files). I did a small test run conversion of the FLAC files to MP3 and I noticed none of the publisher fields seem to be coming through. Do I have a setting that's off perhaps? I would like to retain this information if at all possible. It also does not show up in Windows Explorer (Windows 7) or my tag editing software (TagScanner).

Any info you could provide would be appreciated. Thanks!

It has a field called Organization that seems to be what was entered into the publisher field. But no Publisher field per se.

This is correct as per the spec:

you can disable this in dBpoweramp Configuration >> Codecs >> Advanced.

          Hello

I have this very same issue (Version 16.1) when converting FLAC to MP3. Forgive me, but I don't understand the solution above - please could you clarify?
          Many thanks

In R16 you run dBpoweramp Control Centre >> Audio Codecs 'List / Options' and on this page is the option FLAC ID Tag Mapping

I'd got that far already. I have seven choices, and none relate to 'PUBLISHER' as far as I can tell.

Ah I did not see you were converting to mp3, when you convert, if you right click on the mp3 >> edit id tag does it show the publisher field?

If I right click on the MP3 after I've converted from FLAC, the 'PUBLISHER' field has been amended to 'ORGANISATION'. The converted files appear exactly the same if I load them into either FOOBAR or MP3Tag. The original FLAC files still have the 'PUBLISHER' field when loaded into MP3Tag but 'ORGANISATION' if I view them via >>edit id tag.

If it's helpful I've performed this very same conversion several times, with no problems whatsoever, on a friend's PC who's still using an earlier version of DBP (14.2).

You can use the DSP effect ID Tag processing to map organisation to publisher.

Thank you, that works. Except that I now have both 'PUBLISHER' & 'ORGANIZATION' tags. How do I suppress the latter entirely?

On the deletions tab, add organization
