    Change Tag Name

    Hi to all,
I use Roon as player and for classical music the tag for the work part is "Part" and not "Movement Name" as on dbPoweramp. It is possible to change the tag "Movement Name" in "Part"?
    Thank's.

What file format is your classical music library?

I rip in two format. The first is WAV (for use in Roon) and the second (for backup) is FLAC.

Does Roon offer any tag mapping features?

If not, I suggest you use MP3Tag and create the "Part" tag based on the "Movement Name" tag.

To do this, you can use the Format value action (where you are effectively copying "Movement Name" to "Part"). Test on a single album first and when you are satisfied it is working, you can apply the action to all your classical albums.

Ok, currently I already do this using TagScanner. I wanted to skip a step and get the right tags with dbPowerAmp.
Thank you so much for your answers.

Couldn't you just use the ID TAG PROCESSING DSP as part of your ripping (i.e., add to the CD ripper process down in the middle lower of the ripper screen under the DSP tab). Just have this DSP copy the contents of one tag to another that you want. You may have to experiment a bit to pick the correct new tag field that ROON uses.

As garym has stated, in CD Ripper you can add the ID Tag Processing DSP.

              Once added, click:
ID Tag Processing Settings > Manipulation tab > Rule Based Manipulation Set

In the Rule Based Mapping section, add the following:
              IF Movement Name=[anyvalue]
              SET Part=[tag]Movement Name[]

For more help on the ID Tag Processing DSP, go here dBpoweramp DSP Effects, scroll down and click on ID Tag Processing.
