Mirroring original folder structure for batch conversions?

I'm probably missing something very simple here, but I'll ask the question...

I have my original files in: C:\Music\FLAC
    I create: C:\Music\OGG

I want to use the Batch Converter to mirror the FLAC collection in the OGG folder, using the same folder structure. But if I set up the batch converter as follows:

    Folder: C:\Music\OGG
    Dynamic: [origpath]\[origfilename]

    I get, predicatably: C:\Music\OGG\Music\FLAC\......etc.

Whereas I want to simply mirror the structure from the FLAC folder in the OGG folder. Does that make sense?

Are there any further folders in the FLAC folder?

Yes, plenty! The first level is FLAC\Pop and FLAC\Classical and then numerous sublevels, so an extreme example would be:

    G:\Music\FLAC\Classical\Mozart\Orchestral\Piano concertos\Piano concertos - Bilson\Piano Concerto No. 14 - Bilson\1 - Allegro vivace.flac

try this (or something similar). This would create the same directory structure but leave off the first two folders (in your case MUSIC/FLAC)

    [TRIMFIRSTFOLDER][TRIMFIRSTFOLDER][origpath]\[origfilename][][]

garym -- thank you for setting me on the right path. I had played around with [TRIMFIRSTFOLDER], but hadn't really understood it properly. Your help made me play around some more.

All that was missing from your effort was another set of brackets -- you need to nest the first [TRIMFIRSTFOLDER] inside the second. So the correct path is:

    [TRIMFIRSTFOLDER][TRIMFIRSTFOLDER][origpath]\[origfilename][][]

    Thanks again.
