    Exporting settings.

I think that this is not possibly, so i suggest it.

I have many times should re-install Windows and all those times i has remember what setting in all those options window fields and check box's have (CD driver settings, codec settings that i referrer and many more, file names, tags...). Can you add this feature to next version?

    Please...

Actually, this is a pretty good request. Spoon, are there any CFG files that could be saved so that when a computer user reformats his/her computer, they can simply plug the CFG files back into the dBpowerAMP directory so that they don't have to re-make all their settings all over again?

It looks like all of the dAP settings are kept in the registry.
Having a way to export all dap-specific settings would be nice, but would make a .reg file not a .cfg file.

Seems that here is only HKEY_CURRENT_USER values... Do you mean them?

I only see Illustrate under the CurrentUser also, but it looks like that is where the settings are. Go ahead and export that folder

Well, dMC as a program is about... 6 years old? Mabye he didn't think of an .ini settings file back then, or the registry was the easiest way. *shrugs*

You can get ERUNT, a free utility and backup/restore the entire registry.
Works very well. I use it weekly and also before installing anything.

                      Re: Exporting settings.

Any possible way of creating a simple script program by the dBpowerAMP team to export the registry entry? I mean, obviously, people like Christina, me, savagcl, LtData (and of course Spoon himself) know how to export registry entries....

But let's think about that. Do the general people know how to export registry entries? Heck, most of them don't check the forums (ok ok that's debateable, but you get the idea)

It is possible, but saying that it is good to refresh and start afresh every so often.

Well, I know how to export registry entries or the whole registry. But I have never imported any back - and that's where the whole thing may go bump :D
