Re: Discussion of dMC R12 Alpha

Did you use a really scratched CD when you detected C2?

Re: Discussion of dMC R12 Alpha

OK, I have been merrily working with R12, like it very much and, like others, would anticipate replacing EAC as my ripper of choice. However, on two items that I have seen discussed I needed clarification. First, I generate cue sheets for my CD's and I have not been able to figure out how to do that in R12 (I'm in Beta 4). From some previous threads, it appears that will be in one version and not the other. I am running the CD Ripper version which has profiles, so it appears I should have it. Is this still a "to be implemented" feature or am I somehow in the wrong version, or perhaps just missing it? Second, regarding the "AccurateRip is unconfigured (waiting for a key disc to find offset)" message, I guess I just have to keep sticking in CD's until it finds a key disc?

I like the AMG alternative by the way, and the fact that we have a choice. I also very much appreciate the quick addition of the new flac encoder, thanks spoon. Thanks to all for your help.

Re: Discussion of dMC R12 Alpha

I just started playing with R12, and the CD ripper looks just wonderful.
A lot more information, seems to have a much improved user interface, once I get used to it a little more, I suspect it will easier, faster, better all around. Possibly easier to document too!

However, I am afraid I am confused.

I use Monkeys, and as far as I can tell, I have to install the R12 codec to rip, then I need to un-install the R12 Monkeys codec and re-install the R11.5 codec before I try to play anything. Otherwise, dAP goes nuts, jumping thru songs at an amazing pace.

Is this all to be expected when using a codec other than wav or mp3?

If so, that's fine. Just can't develop *everything* at once.

If not, what did I miss? And how do I correct it?

Sorry to bother you Spoon over such a slight issue......

Re: Discussion of dMC R12 Alpha

There are a list of key discs at this website: http://www.accuraterip.com/
And Cue sheets was planned for r12, I am not sure if it will make it in or be pushed back to dMC r12.5.

OldCoder, you are correct: dMC r12 wants new codecs, but dAP wants the old codecs. I imagine Spoon will do an update to dAP soon, but this will probably be after Sveta and dCW are updated for the new codecs.

Re: Discussion of dMC R12 Alpha

For dAP install the R11.5 monkeys codec, then the new one without uninstalling the old one.

Cuesheets will be implemented shortly after R12 release.

Thanks Lt. And any update on the cue sheets availability is appreciated, Spoon, i.e. if it is 12.5, any (SWAG) timeframe for it?

Spoon -- I've got some CoreConverter dump files from a failed batch of conversions where the converter appears to have crashed -- are you interested in those?

Yes, and I was using an internal drive, not a USB drive.

Re: Discussion of dMC R12 Alpha

BTW, the name of the commandline encoder is misspelled in 'Add/Remove Programs'. It says "Commandline Enocder"

For the crashing core converter - in dbpoweramp config enable the debug mode then after crash look in the temp folder (clean it out before hand) for a .txt temp file which is the debug log.

Re: Discussion of dMC R12 Alpha

In the sticky "dBpowerAMP R12 Technology Preview" thread I saw you updated the Flac encoder to version 1.1.3. However, the official Flac 1.1.3 has a bug for Windows locale settings that use a comma for decimal breaks. The workaround for this bug appears to be a command line switch. Has the Flac encoder for R12 you made implemented this workaround? If not, could you do that? Thanks in advance.

We do not use the FLAC cli encoder, we have our own and do not parse command lines as you speak.

But does your implementation have the bug?
