Any updates? Based on the post on HA I was hoping to see an alpha of the CD ripper soon.
See here for Spoon's Development diary, including what he is currently working on: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=9480
From the post, Spoon is hard at work on the CD ripper. It is taking longer than normal due to him revamping the ripping and making it Secure or, in his words, better than EAC at getting the audio off if it is possible.
Perhaps this week...

I saw on HA that you were shooting for early this week, is this still the case?Originally Posted by Spoon
The CD ripper is released. Get it at the link in my signature.
Also, I'm so close to using this, all I need is a Ogg Vorbis encoder and I am so there.
Hi Spoon, first of all, let me tell you that dbpoweramp is my favorite cd ripper. Al i can say, is only with the intention of improving it.
In general, i feel like the dbpoweramp interface is non standard. In particular the options dialog box. Is weird, i have to "think it" before using it. I would try to expand latter on the problems. (Shouldn't it be some begginer an advanced options?)
Regarding the MP3/LAME config, i don't get the drop box with the encoding: fast, normal, low settings. How do they relate to -vbr and -vbr-new? That is the only part i don't get, or that i think is difficult to understand. I would also remove, or put in advanced, the "free format" option.
But R12 looks really nice ...
You just need to add support for MAREO

Yes eventually, for the moment all options are thrown in together.
-vbr-new is used for all conversions, the fast / normal are other older lame options.

See the CLI Encoder link above, it will work with anything...

The R12 Beta is looking good. Do you have an ETA for a FLAC Codec?
so, what would the equivalent ofOriginally Posted by Spoon
-v 5 -vbr-new would be then?
I see that DSP effects have not been implemented as of yet. The two functions I do use quite often are Volume Normalize and Quieten. If I install the latest alpha, will I lose these?
-v 5 will be the same as your line.
DSP effects would be lost with this alpha, they are not implemented in the slightest yet.
