    time 5:45pm 08/12/2002 (EST) and freedb is down web site under construction

    PLEASE THINK ABOUT GRACE NOTE WINAMP SURE CAN SEE A LOT MORE CDS

    Every web site goes down now and then, it is fine now. BTW there many mirrors that work all the time for freedb lookups - [countrycode].freedb.org

    AFAIK software developers have to pay to use GraceNote's CDDB database, whereas FreeDB is free. Spoon doesn't have a major corporation backing him like Winamp does (Nullsoft is part of AOL Time Warner), so without charging for it, he can't support it.
