My CD-RW drive is all @#$%ed up now?

Ok, I have a Lite-On CD-RW Drive 52X......After using this drive for around a year, erasing/burning 50 CD-RW's everyday my CD-RW drive now gives me write errors 75% of the time.... I'm a little frustrated.

I reformat each month with either Win XP Home or Win XP Professional (NO DUALBOOT)

what the hell is wrong with my comp?? :-D ^_^ thanks everybody.

would cleaning my CD Drive help?

If it is broke, it is broke, cleaning possibly will not help.

          For two reasons:
          1. The Disk Defragmenter that comes with Win XP Home is pretty bad. The one that comes with Win XP Professional is even worse. I don't like either of them; this is why I reformat once a month
          2. Don't hurt me for saying this, Spoon, but to bypass that 30 day trial on the mp3 and powerpack licence, I have to reformat every 30 days to get by...(I PROMISE I'LL REGISTER SOON, please don't hurt me!! ^_^ )

            You said it's broken.

And reformatting instead of defragmenting or in order to get by without a licence is not the best way. You should instead buy a new computer every month :lustig1:
