Unable to Rip track - make sure correct Ripping method is selected and CD Drive supports digital audio extraction.
this is what i get every time i try to rip a cd to mp3, if i try to rip it to anything else I am told I am too low on disk space, which is bunk, I have 12 gigs free...I am running 2000 (just upgraded from 98se) and am wondering if this has something to do with aspi problems?
I don't know, i am stumped

Set the Options >> Advanced - CD Communication to 'NT/2000 Built in (limited)'
The disc space one - you might have volume normalize switched on?

eureka!
Options >> Advanced - CD Communication to 'NT/2000 Built in (limited)'
this fixed it, confusing detritus indeed. as for the space problem: it's gone too, but volume normalize didn't seem to affect it on or off.
thanks for the help, magical flatware
