Ok everyone, cut it off! if you want super fast converting from ram to mp3/wav use streambox ripper. hands down.

                Re: .ram to MP3

I tried to convert my real media .ra, .ram etc to mp3. all of them converted successfully..but they also added a metallic sound to the audio. Is that an issue with the conversion, or is that my comp? whichever it is, how do i fix that?

                thanks in advance

                  Re: .ram to MP3

What settings (bitrate, frequency, channels) did you use for your mp3 files?
My guess is that you compressed your mp3 to too small a file size.
You can try converting one of these files to .wav. If THAT converted file sounded metallic then I might wonder about either the computer or the source file.

                  Best wishes,
                  Bill Mikkelsen

                    Re: .ram to MP3

:smile2: When converting from .ram files, here is what I found out the hard way.
If you get the .ram file from the internet, it refers to the Real Audio file on the internet. So if you try to convert that file, you must have the internet connection active. If you do not have the connection, dMC will hang forever (no error messages) and can only be stopped by ending the task (cntr alt del).
To the "staff", thanks for a great program !

Neil, I'm on the verge of branding you a visual polluter. :D

What you're complaining about is way old, from the days before mandatory registration befer posting anyway. And it wasn't spam, just a lazy poster who can't be bothered to read the answers provided even.

                              sorry.

I'm just frustrated when I see stupid double posting.

Also, is there a delete feature to delete a post?
