    dMC Error

I installed dMC r8 on my win2k but get the following error all the time:

MusicConverter..exe has generated some errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created.

Maybe I an stupid, but I cant find the error log and cant seem to get it to work, any suggestions ?

I have tried to convert from vqf to lame mp3, I downloaded the lame mp3 dll. Converting from vqf to wav works ok using Nullsoft disk writer (mp3 does not work). So I create a wav output off my vqf file, then tried to get it to mp3 using another plugin (tried blade and lame) but still gets the same message.

Dont know what to do !

        Have a look in C:\Windows\Media

there will be a bunch of wavefiles, try converting one of them to mp3 - 128Kbps CBR Stereo.

Thank you for your help ! I appreciate it.

Converting the files in my media directory works to mp3 ! does that mean the vqf or wav files that I am trying to convert is to big?

The average size of the vqf is about 15Meg, converted to wav is about 250Meg ?

The size shouldn't matter, perhaps it is a bitrate you have set on Lame that is causing the crash?

I have tried all the bit rate settings but I still get the same error, I realized that the input vqf file is actully mono, and I tried to encode to mp3 mono or stereo, could this be the issue ?

Converting from a wav mono to mp3 is fine.

                Try this:

Convert a VQF file to a Wave file

Then convert said wave file to mp3.

                Which part crashes?
