WavPak libraries causing Windows Explorer crash in Windows 11 Pro

    Hello

There's something wrong with your wavpak libraries. In Windows 11, if you open a directory which contains wavpak-encoded files, your wavpak.dll faults and it crashes Windows Explorer. Here's the info from the Windows Event Log

Faulting application name: Explorer.EXE, version: 10.0.22621.900, time stamp: 0xff3810d9
Faulting module name: Wavpack.dll, version: 2022.11.25.1, time stamp: 0x6380c293
    Exception code: 0xc0000005
    Fault offset: 0x0000000000035820
    Faulting process id: 0x0x11A0
    Faulting application start time: 0x0x1D90E34E21FF469
    Faulting application path: C:\Windows\Explorer.EXE
    Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\dBpoweramp\decoder\Wavpack.dll
    Report Id: 69525d41-e2af-442c-98dc-e064f5eed106
    Faulting package full name:
    Faulting package-relative application ID:

I've noticed this occasionally in Windows 10 too.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Using Windows Explorer, locate a directory containing wavpak files
    2. Open said directory
    3. Explorer will crash

Version information: dBpoweramp Reference v 2022-11-25 [64 bit], wavpak 2022-11-25

It will be a specific wavpack file which is potentially corrupted, which is causing this. Are you able to find which file it is by moving half to a folder, checking, move half of that to another folder?

If so we would like that file.

The file is ~2GB. Are you sure you want it?!

You should have the crash dumps in your inbox now and for the past week. Be quick - the WeTransfer will expire today.
