I updated (I think) and I still see this. Are we still at 17.7? Why didn't the version notify box in the top right go away after upgrading?

We have retired updates for the Power Pack, after 15 years. See:

Pardon, I've been away a while. What is Power Pack? So how do I know I updated or do I have to pay? Will I be updated to R2022 automatically?
I guess I am not understanding what I see in the image I posted and what Spoons link to the changes mean for me and my current version.
Do I need to do something to update?
If you are on R17 then to go R2022 is a paid upgrade, the offer link is on your download page, updating will enable 2 years of updates.

Gotcha! Thank you!
Hello, should I uninstall previous version then install newer? or does it matter? thanks!
You can uninstall, no settings are lost.

I have R2022, no problems except I noticed in Edit Metadata the Encoded By line shows it as 17 BETA 6
Its not a problem other than raising a question
Windows or OSX?

Hi Spoon, Windows
Were the files created by an older version of dBpoweramp?

I've searched thru the a lot of NAS files, some/many do not show anything on the 'Encoded By' line, but those that do all show 'dBpoweramp release 17 BETA 6'.
These include rips going back to the start of my CD ripping to NAS in 2014.
The encoded by is written at the time of creating the file, if the files are from 2014 then it could be R17.

I believe I was using R15 with my initial CD collection rips, these are showing R17 Beta 6.
Whatever its not important for me, I just thought it might be a note for your side.
