CD Ripper Cannot Open CD Tracks
Just bought brand new "Now That's What I Call 12" 80s (sealed box unused).
All 4 cd's fail to rip cos dbPowerAmp says it cannot read the CD tracks.
Just in case, I paid £20 to upgrade dPA to version 17.7
Wasted my money....still fails to read tracks.
Cd plays fine, just wont rip.
Any clues anybody?

Re: CD Ripper Cannot Open CD Tracks
Managed to rip all tracks to flac using 'Express Power Ripper' from NCH Software.

Re: CD Ripper Cannot Open CD Tracks
If you were having problems with all discs then you'd typically try another rip after booting into Windows safe mode, but you haven't said it's all discs, so I assume this won't make any difference.
I've never heard of Express Power Ripper, I'd typically recommend Exact Audio Copy or CUERipper as they're both very capable rippers with AccurateRip and CTDB support, which I can't see that Express Power Ripper does, so for your own peace of mind I'd verify the rip with CUETools or PerfectTunes.

Re: CD Ripper Cannot Open CD Tracks
Run this, select the option to clear settings:
https://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthr...rom-the-System
Then reinstall and try ripping a CD with the default settings.

Re: CD Ripper Cannot Open CD Tracks
Followed your advice Mr Spoon.
Uninstalled PA completely....reset.....reinstalled PA
PA read all disks and ripped normally.
Many thanks for your help.
