    Compression ratios

I started to use the ripper three days ago. I noticed the compression ratios that go from 0 to 8 and Lossless Uncompressed. Not considering the uncompressed, I understand 8 is the least compressed. Is that so? Are there sonic benefits in using the least compression?

8 is the most (size) compressed. But all of these are LOSSLESS and decode back to fully uncompressed lossless file for playback. That is, there are NO sound quality differences based on compression level.
