    Moving to New Computer

Can I move all of my dBpoweramp settings from one computer to another?

We do not really recommend moving settings as much of CD Ripper configurations are unique to the system. However, dBpoweramp writes to the registry:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Illustrate

    and the file location:

    %appdata%\dBpoweramp

Should I copy that key (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Illustrate) to my new registry? Both machines are running Windows 7 64 Pro.

I searched my whole C: drive, and couldn't find: %appdata%\dBpoweramp

You can do, export the Illustrate Key (folder) from registry editor, and double click it to import on the new machine.

You would type this address into Windows File Explorer (address bar):

    %appdata%\dBpoweramp

I have not contacted you in some time, and I don't seem able to post a new question. What must I do to post one?

    Re: Moving to New Computer

    Hi,
I am getting a new Mac with M1 processor. Therefore I want to do a clean install for the first time in 15 years.
How can I export my settings on the Mac to the new machine ?

    Thanks a lot

You are best configuring manually, especially as is a different processor architecture.
