New external drive vibrates like hell

    Today I received a new Pioneer-drive BDR-XD07TS.
When I started ripping a CD its vibrating as hell. It even moves...
    Anybody has experience with that?
Any solutions or should I try another one, or better a different one?

I tried to set a lower speed but it seems limiting speed is only available for ripping, but not for playing.
    Is this true?

    Thanks!

btw: I have a MacBook Pro

haven't seen this, but I do know some folks like these type door stops to sit on top of certain audio equipment to keep it from moving around.

I have had this with a few CDs in my drive. Have you tried putting a book underneath the unit?

I have some CDs that do vibrate a lot. I just hold it down while it's running.

If the same CD doesn't vibrate on another drive, I'd say your drive is defective.
