Album Artist normally under Album title doesnt show

Im looking for help on a metadata error I cant figure out & am wondering if its an Asset bug.
I bought a download from a web vendor
The album artist is Fourplay & the album title is also called Fourplay.
I suspect this album artist name & album title duplication is the problem
It plays OK but the album doesnt display correctly on the app using Asset UPuP
The semi.greyed out Album Artist name Fourplay that should normally be under the album title Fourplay doesnt show.
The metadata is correct ..... any ideas

Perhaps the album is in a format the player cannot play.

Not at all, it plays perfectly OK, is in normal stnd FLAC.
Its the same problem with all albums with the album title the same as the album artist, The Beatles (the white album), The Clash, etc

I have several albums with Album and AlbumArtist that match (so-called self-titled albums), and this issue does not occur for me on a Win10/64 environment. I have some older files in mp3, but most are now in ALAC format.

I found its OK with Windows media, its not FLAC or ALAC, WAV related, I wonder how it is in Minimserver.

My quick fix is to "rename" the album so the album name & the album artist are not identical
Fourplay changed to 'Fourplay' does the trick

What app are you using to browse Asset UPnP library? Can you please provide a screenshot picture of incorrect display?

Additional steps that will help us trace what happens:

1. Enable UPnP debug logging ( troubleshooting / start logging )
2. Restart Asset ( status / restart Asset UPnP ) to clear any caches
3. Browse your library to view the problematic albums triggering the issue
4. Save configuration dump ( troubleshooting / download configuration dump: normal ) and email to peter@dbpoweramp.com for analysis.

Note: dump will include any recent logs written, no need to save & email logs separately.

Hi Peter, I'm using iPad on 15.2 browsing from Synology DS214 DSM-7 on 7.4 beta-5

I can't get the upload images to work, I can select but it won't upload, I will e-mail them
I have two pics
*1 is entitled Fourplay & shows the Album title but no album artist
*2 This is my workaround fix, its entitled 'Fourplay' (in italics) this shows both Album title and album artist

I can't run the logging until end or week as am traveling

Thanks for the images, this indeed looks like a bug.
I'll wait for logs + configuration dump so I can hopefully recreate this locally.

Naim recognise the problem, they see it with both Asset & Minimserver on a PC, but not with the Naim Core.
Its now with the app team so I expect the fix will be in the next beta.
