Groove not recognising converted files from wma to mp3

Using the batch converter, I tried a sample of wma files to convert to mp3. Groove won't recognise them. I then ripped some new cd tracks and Groove recognised those. How do I get Groove to recognise the converted tracks?

Do your wma files have metadata? As long as those are not tagged, your converted files will not have tags too.
