Folder & FIlename Browsing, folder name not displaying correctly

    Hi
    Newbie here.
I use Asset 7.3 (Premium) on Synology DS118 (DSM7) to stream to streamer over wired ethernet.

All my music files (flac) are on Root/Music/flac/

    Files are organised in folders:
1 first letter [ie A, B, C etc] for artist names
2 Artist name folders (ie. [Alcatrazz]
3 Folders for album (ie [1983 - No Parole From Rock 'n Roll (16-44]

    so the complete path is:
    Root/Music/flac/A/Alcatrazz/1983 - No Parole From Rock 'n Roll (16-44)/

When I use Folders & Filename Browsing I notice that the correct folder names are displayed up until album level, where the folder is displayed as [1983] leaving out the rest of the folder name.

Any idea how the correct (full) folder name can be displayed?
    (Media Server, MinimSever display correctly)

    Kind regards,
    Pieter

let's see if I can attach screenprints for a visual (Naim app used on iPhone)

It is the naim app, I believe there is a setting 'compatibility mode' in the naim app which sorts the issue.

thanks for the quick replies Spoon.

I can't find Compatibilty Mode in the Naim app settings anywhere(latest version and firmware)

What I find odd is that Minimserver displays the folder name correctly (see screenprints above)

              I investigated a little further:

I created another folder in the one I used for the screenprints (10cc) and called it "Truncating"
That displays correctly, leading me to believe it's a truncating issue within Asset.
Asset truncates the folder name before the dash between "Year - Restoftitle". So right before the dash in ie. "1973 -" therefore skipping the rest of the name.

              here's the screenprint:

Name:	Trunc.jpg

Size:	80.6 KB
ID:	294477

Then I changed the folder name to "Truncating right after the dash - here"
and indeed, right before the "-" the name is cut off

              Screenprint:

Name:	Trunc after dash.jpg

Asset is not truncating it, you can browse asset with any other control point and the correct name shows, it is the naim app which truncates.

                  Have you seen the screenprints?

so Minim and Media Server don't (in Naim app) but Asset does and it's still the Naim app?
After last app update there is no more Compatibility mode so what else is there to change.

If I can't play Compatibilty Mode I can't use Asset as I intended so what is the solution?

you're right, I checked with Foobar, it displays correctly.

                    I will contact Naim

You will find Compatibility Mode on the Naim app in Settings>Input Settings>UPnP = UPnP compatibility mode.
This mode is not required with Naim streamers on the Naim app, unless something is not setup correctly.
I suspect this might be in your server, likely how you have set the server path.

FY I - I have Naim NDX with Synology on DSM-7,
