Albums with the same name being merged

I have a Music folder. In It I have subfolders: Mike and Dave. Both folders have an albums with the same name. In Mikes folder the album has 2 discs. Dave's album has 4 discs. When Asset scans these folders it combines the first 2 discs. This is not correct. They are 2 separate distinct albums.

On Assets advanced configuration page, ensure the option 'Album defined by Folder' is checked and do a full rescan of the database.

I have done that and rescanned. The albums are no longer merged, but now multi-disc albums are no longer displayed as one.

The multi disc albums and the other albums are the same externally, they are albums with different artists that you either want or not joining, but there is no logic which can separate them. Try to manually join those multi disc albums, by editing the ID Tags and moving those files to a single folder.
