    AIM - song title display...

Who knows if anyone has put this anywhere, but its too much of an undertaking to go through every single post. Sorry if there is.

anywho, does anyone IM? Like with AIM? Seen any other addin things that put the song title in your away message? There are a couple out there, but all use WINAMP, which bites. Its too hard to understand plus, I love my music player :-D dBpowerAmp

SOOOOOOOO, what Id like, is that. When Im IMing, I play music and it would be AWESOME for the titles to come up in my away message or something like that.

Got something to add? Feel free! Add what you think to this add-on!!!

It would also be good for other messengers.

It is doable, but would need to do some exploration...
I'm using just IRC and even that is rare...
but for example I could make a prog (or an extension to QueMaster) that would put the data into a text file and change it when the song changes... then you would need some plug-in to load the data and send it...

You could put it in your aim profile. Your profile is stored on your computer, so just make a program that can edit the profile, and put like %winamp as a hotkey to display the current winamp song playing or somethin. I was thinking about doing it but i don't have the time right now, but hopefully someone will.

this would also allow one to use a shell to control dbpoweramp directly!

That did nothing for me. Does it work with DB? and if so how?

Zerosk8er4554 what version of aim and winamp are you using, that code sure does not work for me.

P.S. Has anyone found anything that will do this yet?

                          Thanks!!

Yea he forgot to mention you need to use middle man, and middle_man isn't supported by new versions of aim, muchless triton. Hate to be the bearer of bad news.

Come on all you great programmers out there....someone can do this :-D

The new aim already has it built in
