Converted (Long) MP3 incomplete / trimmed / truncated

    hi guys

Working with mp3's of 3 / 4 hours plus and if i right cluck and convert a wav, it doesn't matter what settings i use it is always cut way before the expected end of the file.

For example one wav of 4:17 and the resulting mp3 is 3:06 - CBR, VBR whatever. never complete.

If anyone can shed any light i would be most thankful

    thanks guys for your time

Perhaps the original wave files had a form of compression?

You can check the filesizes of before and after.

No they're fine straight out of audio software. also. any smaller wavs out of the same software convert ok in DB. so there's something odd going on.
