Synology DSM7 Release Candidate is (at last) out.
Anyone tried it yet?
Im tempted but other stuff in the mill means I dont need this distraction, but would like to hear of those who have.

I have installed the DSM7.0 offical release. Asset 7.2 could not start.

OK but did you also change to the new version of Asset for Synology DSM-7 ???

I have installed Asset R7.2. I am not sure if there is any new version.

Yes there is a new DSM7 specific version.
Look in Products list where it shows both Asset for DSM6 & a separate DSM7

I may have done this the 'wrong' way, but it is what it is! I just upgraded to DSM7, deleted the existing version of Asset because I knew I needed the DSM7 version, and installed the v7.3 beta. I lost my settings doing it this way, but didn't have a massive amount to re-configure.

I noticed however that I am now running the 'Trial' version. What's my route to get my licence recognised?

Forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere - is there a procedure available to move from DSM 6.2 to DSM 7 and retain library configurations / settings for Asset UPNP?

The procedure is just the same as previous DSM updates, library & settings dont change.

In my case I always have a plain text copy of my browsing tree settings plus a screen shot of my Asset config screen.
I do this in case something gets screwed & if ever I need to reinstall.
