Thread: Does the Read/Write Quality of a CD Burner Go Down After Too Much Use?

  1. #1

Question Does the Read/Write Quality of a CD Burner Go Down After Too Much Use?

I have ripped and burned thousands of CDs and DVDs (5000+) using my little Lite-On Super AllWrite burner. It still seems to rip & write great, but I am wondering if should replace it any way? Does the quality of the reading and/or writing go down after so much use? I don't have time to listen to everything I rip and write, and I am wondering if the quality might be going down and I just dont know about it. Thanks in advance.

It would be obvious as the rips would fail accuraterip check consistently.
