Cannot convert some m4a files to wav (or anything else)

    Hello!

I have a problem converting m4a files coming from a mac user to any other format (trying to make a usable .wav file).

I just upgraded to 17.3 windows version but it does not help.

    Message is: m4a_problem.png

File opens without problem with vlc and windows media player, so it is not currupt. I could convert it online with https://cloudconvert.com/m4a-to-wav but I really like doing it all with dbpoweramp.

    Any suggestion? Thanks!

Please upload the file to dropbox and provide a link by personal message.

The file has the wrong extension, it has .m4a but .m4a is a file container which needs various chunks defining, such as MOOV, this file has none of that, it is a .aac file (.m4a can contain aac but only if properly defined). Rename the file to .aac and dBpoweramp will read it.
