CD Not Loading on iMac

I have a client using an iMac with a Apple Superdrive and when putting a CD into the transport to rip, the transport just saying "waiting on CD" and then just freezes up. If I open Apple Music on the computer, the metadata comes on Apple Music, but CD Ripper is just stuck like it doesn't recognize the disc or doesn't reach out the obtain the metadata. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

macOS Catalina (or newer) introduces per program security access settings, normally OS X will ask when the program tries to access something if it should be granted permission. This security setting can also be set at a later date, click the Apple menu icon: System Preferences >> Security & Privacy >>
