Spotted this? Icons wrong way round

Have you ever noticed this.... the Save and Load icons are the wrong way round for the DSP presets.

The load icon shows an arrow pointing down into storage (when it should point UP as data is leaving storage) and similarly the Save icon is swapped too!

It is not supposed to be storage, but the computer.

You are thinking things too much on computer terms, if for example you Load a truck full of produce, the arrow would be pointing into the item you are loading. UX was wrong always, showing floppy discs, etc, the storage medium is not the element of importance, it is what happens in relation to the main device.

If you need another opinion; Here are my credentials:
Part of my job is creating user interfaces. I also have a degree in psychology. With that, I'm siding with Spoon on this one.

The rationale is understandable but it flies in the face of established norms. Norms which computer users are used to.

The result is an increased cognitive load and a decrease in usability.

Agree but it's helpful to your users, if you use established conventions.

Gary has no users, 'cause he is a user.
