Adding a new Item and tag to the tree - Asset 7.2 QNap

    Hi,

I've added a new tag to some of my albums (2000+) called 'Faves' In this tag I enter either 'Garry' or 'Sally'.

I want to add an item in the browse tree that says 'Faves' and then list Garry and Sally as separate items, then click on on of those to list that persons favorite albums.

I've tried some of the suggestions on this forum but I can't get anything to work

    I added

    faves,1,NVARCHAR(150)

to the bottom of the Database Fields
    and then

    Faves
    Faves\Album

to the 'Edit Browse Tree as Plain text.

I get a black and white icon on my control point and clicking on it says it's empty.

    Am I doing something wrong?

R7 has a different database layout, copy the genre line to the bottom of the list and rename to faves

    Hi,

Got it working, thanks very much.

My wife is much happier now she can easily find her all hair metal and Buddhist chanting albums :-)

For anyone else reading I added:
    Faves{_no_track_list_}
    Faves\Album

    To the 'Raw Browse Tree'
    and

    faves

    to the database fields

I then added the Faves tag to my files using Mp3tag an my PC, it took a while for the server to rebuild but it works a treat.

Now that I've got this working I may start to tweak a few other things.

Is it possible to change the icon that the Faves tree item uses?

It's OK, I had a look around the some of the hidden folders on my qnap using Filezilla and created some new Icons.

    Cheers
    Garry
