Adding new downloads to already ripped collection
Adding new downloads to already ripped collection
Hi all
I do apologise if this was asked before but I could not find the answer.
I am trying to add new downloaded (mainly hi resolution versions) to existing ripped from cds collection.
I simply copy new folders in to my Music folder (monitored by asset). The asset however is not seeing new files unless I rename Artist ID tags from (for example) Opeth to Opeth1.
In another instance the asset is seeing the new files but they are presented in the same album with two different version of tracks listed and not two different albums
I am sure I am doing something wrong. I would be grateful for any advice or pointing me to the relevant help.
TIA
Rafal

Re: Adding new downloads to already ripped collection
You would go into Asset Configuration and trigger 'Rescan (detecting changes)'
The 2nd issue is likely related to ID Tags, you would have to see what the tags are in the problem album.

Re: Adding new downloads to already ripped collection
You should set the album tile to (Remaster xxxx), not have that line in the track titles, it would be the album title which separates the album.

Thank you Very much Spoon!
Works great now.
One more questions. Must the flac file be split on individual tracks for the asset to see it as separate tracks?
