Synology 112j and 9600 music folders

    Hi there,
is it possible to read my 9600 music folders (9600 albums) on my Synology with the purchased version of asset UPnP and play them on my Naim player? With the test version it always hangs up, asset always says after reading that it has read 0 folders and 0 files, Naim does not output anything either. I don't want to buy the software and then it still doesn't work. Thank you for your support. Best regards from Vienna.
PS: there are no playlists and no files that cannot be read.

Where is your music saved to on the Synology? the default music folder?

Which folder is Asset set to scan? in the library settings?

A mate of mine has a DS112j & I tried installing Asset on it & had problems, as I understand it its got an ARMv5 CPU & its not supported.
Whatever, Santa has bought him a new DS118 & he's now a happy Asset fan.

    Hi Spoon,

yes, in the default folder (music) and the scan "music" in the settings.

Are the 9600 folders too much for the asset UPnP or the synology? The netfolder on my windows desktop pc I can open without problems.

Thanks for your helping! greetings Markus

    Hi Mike,
Thank you very much for the input, I feared that the cpu was too weak.
Although it works with the media server and audio station.
Thanks for your input. best regards, markus

It's not that the CPU is 'weak', I said the ARMv5 CPU is 'not supported', if that is correct it means they will not work together.

I understand now, thank you Mike :-)
With Minim Server also don*t run :-( - I shot the 112j to the moon.

Do you have a good tip for me, possibly with 2 slots for backup and not too expensive?
But no more synology, the last one was a DS212j and broke after almost 2 years.

I can't say anything bad about Synology, I have a DS214 & its never given any trouble whatsoever. My business partner has a monster top level with a backup for the business systems & separate Synology for his audio & photo. My son has a 118 for his video & security & some of the other hifi freaks I know all have them. No one has ever failed that I know of, the factory support is good & the software update support is excellent.

The other well regarded brand is QNAP, like Synology all the QNAP users I know are very satisfied.
