Thread: Windows 10 No Longer Shows Details for mp3 and wav?

  1. #1

Question Windows 10 No Longer Shows Details for mp3 and wav?

    Hello,

Recently upgraded my version of Windows 10 the other day.

I am using Reference 7.2 and Windows 10 Pro, build 19042.572 version 20H2.

After upgrading I noticed Windows Explorer no longer shows specific details for mp3s or wav files, but strangely it still does for flac audio files.

It no longer shows any details such as sample size or sample rate, or even channels.

This was definitely there before I upgraded my OS.

I tried searching prior posts but most of them link to old Windows 7 OS.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there any way of getting it back?

I have tried uninstalling and using the removal tool multiple times, and after restarting my computer, nothing changes.

dBpoweramp does not supply the details for Wave and Mp3, Microsoft do themselves, however you can override:

    Thank-you, that worked!

I definitely had this before I upgraded to Windows 10 Pro, build 19042.572 version 20H2.

It annoyed me not being able to see sample size and such with wav files, I don't know why Microsoft decided to suddenly remove it.

    Thanks again!
