Cannot install Asset 7.0 on QNAP TS-251

    Hello,

I removed Asset R6.7 from my NAS and tried to install the R7.0 qpkg manually.
The NAS responds with "The following item could not be installed".
Does anyone know if there is a workaround?

It seems that it's also no longer possible to install R6.7 again.
I'm using the latest QNAP firmware 4.4.3.1421.

What happens if you try to install R6.7? the same error?

This suggests an issue with the nas, such as out of space.

Note that the QPKG is the same for all QNAP types, so if it was corrupted, it would fail to install for everyone on all NAS models. Try redownloading the QPKG using another computer? Also try rebooting the NAS.

I went back to several older QNAP firmware versions but still couldn't install the package.

It turned out to be a browser issue.
I'm using Edge Chromium for a year or so and since one of the latest updates it seems no longer possible to install the qpkg.
Firefox installed the package without any problems however, so my problem is solved.

Thanks for the info, glad that it now works properly.

Note that QPKG packages can be installed manually via SSH if installing with web browser fails - simply upload them with SCP, set executable flag (chmod +x) then execute like any other Linux program:
          Code:
          chmod +x Asset_R7.qpkg
          ./Asset_R7.qpkg
