    What are logs for?

I also like the way EAC generates logs better than the way dBpoweramp does.
Also, I sometimes have problem discs that dBpoweramp will choke on, that EAC will tear right through, so I keep it around for that reason

This person says EAC generates logs better than dBpoweramp. What are logs and how are they important?

logs record exactly what happened during the ripping process (and there is a setting in dbpa options to give you "full" logs).
p.s. You should really quit reading that reddit group. Amazing amount of bad/wrong/crazy advice there.
