    TSSTcorp - CDDVDW SH-S223C

I have a TSSTcorp - CDDVDW SH-S223C drive that I hooked up to my Mac mini using a USB to SATA adapter. I am trying to find the offset of the drive. When I look in the AccurateRip database it says [Purged]. Can someone explain to me what that means, and how I can get the proper offset for this drive?

It means the drive did not have a consistent offset, likely there are 2 different models circulating with the exact same name. AccurateRip will not work with this drive as far as setting an offset.

How important is setting the offset to getting an accurate rip?

And, is there a way I can calculate the offset of the exact drive that I have?

The offset is not needed on the OSX version to verify with accuraterip. It is not possible to manually detect the offset on OSX.

To verify the rip AccurateRip does not need the drives offset, it is able to verify with any offset.
