Audio CD with wrong track start offsets

    Hello!

Years ago I ripped the album „Whitney Houston“ by Whitney Houston using Windows and EZ CD Extractor.

Now I realised that e.g. the wave file of track 1 contains a very little portion audio of track 2 and so on.
It is less than a second.

So maybe the pressing of the CD is a little to far to the „left“?

I grapped the CD again and tried a new rip under Mac OS and dBPoweramp with the same result.

How could I handle such a CD?

    Thanks…

It has been mastered wrong, the easiest way is to use the Rip as One function (in the menu) and rip each track individually with your own start and end times, note you will have to apply the metadata manually after ripping each track.

OK, but will the rip at once start early enough, to get also the little portion of audio at the beginning of the first track?

It is likely this does not exist on the disc.

          Sorry for asking...
I am not able to find that dropdown menu to set "Rip at one".
Maybe my Apple screenreader VoiceOver does not see that green option button?

After starting the app I press Command+R to open the ripper.
Reading the online manual the button for opening the dropdown should be in this window.
Further I press Command+Komma to search in the prefs for the ripper.
          Also with no success.

So where is my mistake or is that area for blind users not accessible?

I had the same issue with a Kiss greatest hits compilation (one of their many). One Smashes, Thrashes, & Hits all songs were offset by almost a full second. As Spoon suggested, I used the rip as one option and split it manually afterwards. The first track had no issues in this case.

So maybe you could explain me, where I could find the option to rip as one?
I am using the 21 days trial for Mac.
              Version 17.1

Hopefully there is a way to check the function via the keyboard / without using the mouse.

Even with a screen ocr app I am not able to recognise the buttons label.

We are investigating these buttons and screen readers.
