Great program! Question about flac to mp3

Hey I always used to use slow for encoding and recently I switched back to normal, I couldnt hear a difference. My question is the difference between slow and normal significant when going flax to mp3? Presuming the machine is left idle during the process (from user)?

Again great program I have a 2015 copy
Im encoding 320mp3 on insane setting

Probably not, the biggest change will be in bitrate selection.

You are unlikely to hear at this bitrate.

Now I&*8217;m curious, at around what bitrate would you notice the difference? Again thank you for the quick reference

Depends on the person, there are plenty of people who cannot tell the difference between 192kbps mp3 and 320kbps...

And you're probably talking about bitrate less than 128kbps before you can detect differences with most normal music. Actually, maybe less than 96kbps. That said, you have the FLAC files, so I assume the mp3 files are just for portable use. In my own case, for portable use I use mp3 LAME -V2 (~192kbps), and even this is way overkill. I'm sure I'd be fine with -V5.
