Unable to save Metadata on a NAS from a MAC

    Dear all,
I'm totally lost with this. I tried to update the tags in a series of FLAC files that were wrongly tagged for unknown reasons.
I managed to edit the tag with PerfectTUNES but they are not saved to disk.
    FYI:
    - My version is a registered one (According to the message in the main window)
    - I updated to the latest version 2.6
    - My files are on a NAS to which I'm connected using SMB
    - I have write access to the files

I cannot understand what is going on with those files.

    Thanks for any help.
    Eric

    Dear all,
I tried with another tag editor that reported some files with "invalid tags".
And I cannot edit those tags either.

Try bring the files locally, if still no go, then convert FLAC >> FLAC to update the file.

OK, I found the culprit: accented characters!
Not the first time it happens to me. I seems that SMB cannot handle some accented characters although they appear to be OK when displayed. I used my NAS file explorer and Finder on Mac: all file names appear identical. But it appears they were not! As a result, any tentative to access the file failed as that file with that name did not exist as accented characters were differently encoded. Solution is to modify file name with the File Explorer on NAS, and problem disappear.
