    File naming protocols and abilities.

I am considering a purchase of DB's CD Ripper (my former ripper used FreeDB Database for file naming - which is now inactive)

Is the DB CD Ripper able to access other databases and does it have ability to customize the sequence of metadata info to be incorporated in the ripped file names?

What protocol is used to designate the file name in a specified sequence?

I use the following as my file naming convention:
"Year Artist last name, First name - CD title Track number_song title"

Yes, it uses several different databases, providing excellent metadata sources. And yes, can use the metadata to customize any file naming format you wish. This is called the "dynamic naming" process. It will do exactly what you want (and more).
