    Batch Volume Normalisation - Newbie

Sorry for the newbie question. I have struggled with ReplayGain in MediaMonkey and MP3Gain (doesn't seem to be consistent). So, Google threw up RG128 which led me to dBpoweramp.

I want to batch normalise 1000s of files but, when I open the app, I select the "Converting To" but all the drop-down options look like I am about to convert the actual file format eg: MultiEncoder, AIFF, Apple lossless, FLAC. All I want to do is add the RG128 calculation to the Replay Gain tags.

    Sorry for the dumb question.

You would install 'ReplayGain' from here:

Then choose it as the encoder which just writes the tags.

Thanks for the response. ReplayGain codec installed but where do I actually select it?

when you run dbpa batch converter, you select the top folder of your music folder/files. Then you choose "CONVERT TO" and in the options for CONVERT TO, you choose replaygain (rather than something like FLAC, mp3, etc.)

            Hi Spoon,

Is there a utility that would allow me to do this same thing on a Mac?

            Thanks
            Brian

dBpoweramp on the Mac contains the Utility codec '[ReplayGain]' you might have to enable them if have an older version of dBpoweramp:
