    Opus Convertion Not Working

dbPoweramp 14.4, with Opus release 7.1 (Opus 1.3.1)

I have a number of Opus files. When I try to convert them the UI goes through the motions and shows complete, but no file is produced.

No error messages, i cannot identify any log file, is there one?

Whats the best way to proceed?

As a test, try R17.1 in the testing section of this forum.

Convert the file, then reconvert, the same file, does it show an overwrite page?

If not then enable the debugging option in dBpoweramp (control Center >> adavanced >> music converter debug), convert 1 file and post the log here please.

No overwrite page as there is no output file from the conversion.

          Code:

No email received, perhaps your email provider has limits on what it can send? if so upload to dropbox or similar and email the link please.

As above, I already sent an email with just a download link as the file is 60MB.

The email bounced repeatedly and then gmail gave up, looks like there is a problem with your mailbox/provider?

Your file is not an opus file, it is an mp3 file, rename .opus to .mp3 and it converts fine.

                          Re: Opus Convertion Not Working

Really sorry... I changed the extension to a couple of formats but not mp3.

Is there an easy way to identify the header for an incorrect file extension? Hex editor or something?

Thanks for your time. I will upgrade as a courtesy, especially as i see i have been using dbPoweramp, happily, for 13 years!

Depends on what encoded it, so no easy way to check, perhaps convert all files to test conversion, all those which do not convert try as .mp3
